SS-Rottenführer Slavko Juric, 13.Waffen-Gebrigs-Division der SS "Handschar" 1942.
Handschar (a curved Turkish Scimitar) has historically been the symbol of Bosnia, therefore named by Himmler when forming of the 13 SS with men mostly from Croatia.
Their uniform are basically the same as regular SS issue with the exception of the special collar tab with the arm holding a Handschar/Scimitar over the Swastika, an Edelweiss on the right sleeves and a red-white chessboard Croatian arm shield on the left arm.
The unit received their basic training in France and were tasked with mostly anti-Partisan operations until late 1944 when the threats from Russian Red Army becomes imamate and front line combat duty were assigned.
